What is required to rent a motorbike? Do I need any special license?

You need to come with your passport and your driving licence for car. To rent a scooter with Bali-Big-Bike.com you must be in the possession of a valid driving license and valid under the laws of your country and you require an International driving License.

Can the scooter be used by two people?

You can ride all our scooters with a passenger.

What happens if I have an accident or the scooter is stolen?

You are insured! You are covered against theft and damages to the motorbike with an excess of $ 100 for bikes up to 155CC and $ 200 for bikes above 155CC.

Do you have smaller bikes?

We focus on motorbikes between the range of 150-400 CC. These bikes are extremely comfortable to cruise around Bali. If you prefer a smaller motorbike, we recomment you to book at our sister company; Bali Bike Rental, you will be in good hands !

What is covered by the insurance?

The insurance covers theft and damages to the motorbike damage ONLY. Additionally, road assistance on Bali area is also included. The damages on the scooter or theft are covered with an excess of $ 100 for bikes up to 155CC and $ 200 for bikes above 155CC.

Do I need to fill the tank with petrol?

Yes, we provide the bike with a full tank of gas on the day the rental starts, and we expect it to be full when it is returned.

Can I travel outside Bali?

No, the renter is not allowed to bring our bike outside of Bali island. All our bikes are equipped with GPS trackers.

Do you have delivery service?

Yes, we do and in most areas in the south of Bali it’s for free. Our Delivery and pickup service area info and pricing can be found here.

How and when do I pay for my motorcycle rental?

We only accept Credit Card and Paypal payments, no cash. Rental charges are paid at the time of booking, secure and online.

What is the minimum age to rent a motorcycle in Bali?

The minimum age to rent a motorcycle in Bali at Bali Big Bike is 18 or above.

Where do you deliver motorbike?

We are able to deliver your motorbike in any area in the south of the island (Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Umalas, Kerobokan, Legian, Nusa dua…) including Ubud. For more remote areas such as Gilimanuk, Lovina, Singaraja, Amed, Candidasa delivery charges may apply, see our Delivery and pickup service area page for more information.

Is it mandatory to wear a helmet?

Yes, for your own safety, and per Indonesian law, you and your passenger are required to wear a certified helmet at all times when you ride our motorcycle. We provide you 2 helmets, free of charge.

Are the motorcycle routinely inspected?

Yes, every motorcycle has a safety and mechanical inspection prior to every rental. We have trained technicians on premises. All motorcycles are maintained to manufacturers’ specifications and our technicians are very well acquainted with all rental bikes. Your safety is our #1 priority.

What do I do if i have a mechanical breakdown?

We do our very best to insure that breakdowns do not happen. If you have a breakdown or you feel the motorcycle is unsafe to operate, make a phone call to our 24 hour emergency phone, and we will take care of the problem.

Is it safe to pay by credit card?

Yes this is very safe. We are using PCI Compliant credit card gateways powered by world renowned providers Stripe.com and Braintree.com. None of our staff can see your credit card details because they are safely stored in the PCI Compliant credit card vaults by our providers and transferred using encrypted SSL connections.

For each transaction you do with us you will receive an automatic receipt by e-mail.
